João Guedes has helped us to give you some tips on how to wash your wetsuit. Effectively washing your wetsuit after every surf session, is fundamental in maintaining its integrity and duration.
Here are his top tips:
- Fill a bucket with fresh water without any products or chemicals.
- To make sure the water enter easily open up the wetsuit at the top.
- Rinse your wetsuit in the water 3-4 times. If you plan not to surf during a week or more, leave your wetsuit in water for 10 minutes to effectively remove salt water.
- Drain the water using your hands.
- Dry your wetsuit in the shade.
- Hang your wetsuit folded in half, never hang it from the shoulders as this can loosen and ruin your wetsuit.
